Reflection: Role of the TL
Riedling doesn’t discuss the TL’s role
as an instructional partner. She talks
about the TL role as a teacher, an informational specialist and program
administrator, but doesn’t include the collaborative aspect of our role. TL works cooperatively with classroom
teachers on developing curriculum and teaching practices. Riedling’s perspective is lacking the
collaborative element but focuses heavily on the informational leadership and
expertise portion of our role.
Activity: Importance of questioning in the research model
Questioning is a large portion in most
of the research models. In some cases,
it involves several steps, either narrowing the topic/focus or revising the
question.
